Oh Boy ...it has been crazy

Good afternoon everyone!
Well I am back. We have all of the birthdays and hopefully all of the illness is done!!! For the all of the boys birthdays we went to a hotel with an indoor waterpark. Which was totally awesome!!! Can you tell I grew up in the 80's? Ha Ha It was worth every penny saved to go. But we need to put our best effort into being frugal again.

It is taking me sometime to get back into my frugal thinking. Which is not good for the checkbook. But...I am not alone. I just recently spoke to someone who is VERY frugal. She stated that she has her times when she is not as tight as she would like to be with the food budget. So....please pray for me that I will get back on track. Because it is my passion to help people get their households and finances on track.

Here is what I hope to have coming soon. Pictures!!! My boys and husband are my life and I am so proud of them. So we will have pictures soon! Receipes ... frugal ones!!! This is where alot of our money is spent. So I am always looking for new things. How I use coupons. This takes some practice...but it is possible with crazy boys. How I reduce my utilities. This something I am constantly doing.
Also ...lots lots more!! If you have any questions or ideas, please let me know.

Thanks so much for all of your patience!!!

Birthdays and Sick Boys

Hello everyone!!
Well this past week I have had our twins 6th birthday party!! Yes I did have tears that day. Each year I think about how we had a rocky start when they were born. Kollin and Preston were 9 1/2 weeks early. But by the grace of God they were only on ventilators for 2 days and that was just for precaution. After that they were on nasal assistance only. Also we came home 2 weeks earlier than expected. God has been wonderful to me to give me 3 healthy boys.

But I will post birthday pictures later!! I promise!! We do have another big weekend planned. Instead of the birthday party with all of the cousins(we have a huge family on both sides) we are going to an indoor waterpark. So we have to get rid of this stomach/intestinal virius soon!!

Year ago a friend of mine had said that when her three children would get sick she would throw away the old toothbrushes and but new ones. This helps stop the spread of germs. Well this is what I do. I take a microwave save glass measuring cup, fill it full of water and pop it in the microwave. Bring the water to a boil and stick the toothbrushes in for about 10 minutes. In my opinion this has helped keep us from spreading germs and keep us healthy.

I have some other things I have thought of, so I will post again early next week. Also I have some of our favorite receipes coming.

Please pray...

OK...I am getting use to correcting things and I pushed the wrong button. Please excuse me.

To finish my last post. Pray for me that I can say the right things to encourage my nephew towards a strong relationship with God.

See you soon my friends
Wendy

Please pray.....

Hey everyone!! Yes, this is my second post for the day, but I will make it quick. Ha Ha. I just recently found out that my nephew has joined the Army. He is 18 and at one time in his life we were close. I have watched him grow into a wonderful young man and he now will be graduating high school. I have tried to plant a seed about God and I am praying it sprouts. My eyes are becoming misty as I post this so I better wrap this up so I don't short out my keyboard from the tears. He leaves for basic training in July.

Pray for me I can say the right words to

Organizing & Selling our house

First of all I wanted to tell everyone, Thank you!!! In the past 12 hours I have already had people looking at my post! I was really nervous that would not happen. Jeff and I have so much that we do to save money. In a few words or less, we have alot of information coming!!

Our house. Many people know that when we purchased our house it was an investment and a stepping stone for our family. We knew how much we wanted to spend and did not budge at all. Our realitor was not pushing us to buy the more expensive house that bankers told us we could afford. This was a huge blessing last year when we were a one income family and Jeffs hours were cut.....almost in half. Many of you who also know us know that on one income were are doing the following. Paying off our current mortgage, saving for another house, sending 3 boys to private school and feeding 3 boys. These are all huge tasks that have taken alot of penny watching and penny pinching.

So here we are 5 years later. The house that we repainted and had just perfect is now needing refreshed!!! I have done some reading by realitors and frugal blogs, amazingly enough...getting our house ready for sell can be less money than I thought. First thing is first. Purge!!! Toss things that you don't use!! If you haven't used it or worn it in a year, TOSS IT!!! Have no mercy!!! Take a day and drop the kiddos off with Grandma or take a day off when they are at school. Go through their toys. Remember...NO MERCY!!! Go through their clothes if you need to put them in a tote to store for a later child or get them ready for a sale. I will go into a great consignment sell here in a few minutes. Once you have went through things don't get trapped in expensive organization gadgets. The most things that are helpful to me...a lable maker, clear plastic totes of all sizes and clear packing tape.

Whew!!! This probably sounds like alot! Take it little by little. Don't tackle your house all at the same time. For the boys room I took and sorted things. All dinosaurs together, all of the thousands of little cars together. You probably get the picture by now. Then to help them put them in the right totes when they clean up I took and found pictures on the internet of a dinosaur and a car. I colored them brightly and made the words on the computer in primary colors. Arranged them on the front of the totes and attached them with the clear packing tape. This has worked for over a year for the boys. The cost was probably about $8 to $10.

Also for our stuff, i.e. bathroom & extra hygene supplies. This is all things I stock up on with coupons when a good sale is upon us. I have taken the Do!!@r Store shoe box size totes ($0.99) and used my lable maker and organized away.

I hope I have not bored you...but being frugal falls in step with being organized. You are not buying things you already have but could not find. I can glance at our supplies and see we need toothpaste or shampoo. When we do show our house during our days of selling, it should not be a mad rush to clean. So that will be good for the blood pressure!!! It also helps to do this when we are snowed in (like now) and it is one step towards spring cleaning.

Also last year I took part in a wonderful consignment sale. Also I have taken clothes to local consignment shops to help reduce what we are storing and make money to buy new clothes for our boys. This is a tremendous help. In my next post I will give a link to a great consignment sell.

Thanks everyone!! Please share any frugal organizing ideas!! Here in a couple of weeks I will have some pictures and more personalization to my blog!!!

Hello everyone!!!

Let me introduce myself. I am a mommy of 3 boys with lots and lots of energy!!! Kollin and Preston are my twins. Karson is my single boy who just tries to keep up with his brothers. Needless to say we are ready for spring so they can get outside and play.

All my life I have been exposed to living life with a budget. Before my husband and I got married I lived the frugal life...but nothing like now. In the next couple of weeks I hope to update and start sharing my life experiences. God has provided me many people to share my "secrets" with and I am taking every opportunity to do this. These are just my little things I do to help cut our cost of living. I hope this blesses you as much as God has blessed me.

I will start out by telling a little about our lives. Jeff and I were married almost 7 years ago. We quickly found that our financial minds were very similar. We both grew up in the country and quickly let each other know that one of our goals in life is to be back there. Very soon after we married we found out that we were expecting. This was so exciting...but little did we know this was only the beginning of the suprises! At our first ultrasound....the doctor seen our two babies immediately. Whew! I was glad I was laying down. Kollin and Preston came 9 1/2 weeks early. But we always manage to provide the best....with as little cost as possible. Then 2 years later...another positive test. We were going to have one this time. But with three boys we had to keep cutting cost. But I did not want to cut my lifestyle of living.

I have always wanted the best..but for much less. So this is what I want to share. My past experience, my present and future plans.

Talk to you soon!
